What anna is

anna: A hub for the home for older adults. You talk to it, and the rest of the house connects through it: fall sensors, the doorbell, cameras, the radio, the television.
annaOS: The software the hub runs. It holds the conversation, carries messages to family, confirms medication on the camera and raises the caregiver when a pattern drifts.
What anna is not: Not a smart speaker, not a pendant alarm, not an app. A smart speaker waits to be asked and sends what you said to a data center. A pendant alarm waits to be pressed. anna starts the conversation instead of waiting for it.
Who anna is for: Older adults living independently at home. Families who want to stay close without moving in. Independent caregivers, home care providers, nursing home operators, public health teams and commissioners.

Where the processing happens

The model: Runs on the device, in the room. Not a wake word sent to a data center.
The conversation: Never transmitted. Not recorded and not stored. Nobody can be shown a transcript, because none is made.
The camera: Confirms that a medication dose was actually taken, processed on the device. No image leaves the house and nothing is stored for anyone to look at later.
What does leave: Insight, not conversation: how she slept, whether a dose was taken, whether the day looked like most days. She chooses who receives it.
Where that is held: Encrypted in transit and held in the EU, processed in line with GDPR. anna acts as a data processor on behalf of the care provider or family, with a data processing agreement in place. Deletion can be requested at any time.

Medical device status: anna is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice.
Emergency services: anna does not replace emergency services, a personal alarm or professional clinical judgement.
Who decides: Humans, every time. anna never acts alone. Medication schedules and escalation routes are set by the care plan, not by anna. When something looks wrong the caregiver hears first and the family second.

Setup: Under ten minutes, done by a caregiver. No IT support, no drilling, no lengthy manual.
Network: Home Wi-Fi. If the connection drops, anna reconnects on its own and syncs what it missed.
What the family installs: Nothing. Messages arrive on WhatsApp, in the same thread they already use for everyone else.
What the older adult installs: Nothing. No app, no login, no password, no screen to squint at.

Status: A free test phase. The aim is to get anna into real homes before settling on a price.
What the test includes: The hub, full setup support from the team, all six jobs and the caregiver dashboard. No card and no commitment.
Price: Commercial pricing has not been announced. It will be one membership per home, month to month, with no lock-in.
Markets: The United States, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Brazil and Portugal.
The company: anna is built by tesatad, Inc., started in November 2025. We sell through home care providers and public health first, because the workflow comes first and caregivers stay in charge. The consumer version comes next.
