About anna

anna is a hub for the home. You talk to it, and everything else in the house (fall sensors, the doorbell, cameras, the radio) connects through it. It holds the day together: the morning, medication, appointments, a message to family, company when the house is quiet. And it watches for the things nobody is in the room to see.
anna is for older adults who want to stay independent at home, for families who want to stay close without moving in, and for caregivers and care providers who need to keep across more clients than a brief visit allows. Whether you are looking after yourself, a parent, or a whole service, there is a version of anna for you.
A pendant alarm waits to be pressed. A smart speaker answers questions, and sends what you said to a data center to do it. anna starts the conversation rather than waiting for it, runs its model on the device so nothing said in the house is transmitted, and acts as the hub the rest of the home connects to: sensors, doorbell, cameras. It is the difference between a gadget on a shelf and the thing the house runs on.

How it works

The anna device is a calm, compact unit designed to sit quietly in a living room or bedroom (not on a gadget shelf). It has a soft ambient LED and a voice interface with under two seconds of end-to-end latency. A caregiver installs it in under ten minutes with no IT support needed.
Yes, anna connects over the home Wi-Fi. Setup takes a caregiver under ten minutes. If the connection drops temporarily, anna reconnects automatically and syncs any missed data when it is back online.
anna alerts the right person, caregiver first, family second. It never acts alone. If a morning check-in is missed, a sensor flags a possible fall, or a pattern has been drifting for several days, anna sends an alert through the caregiver’s dashboard. Humans make every decision; anna makes sure the right people have the right information at the right moment.
Very little. anna initiates, asking how someone slept, sending a medication reminder, passing on a message from family. The older adult just speaks or taps to respond. No app, no login, no learning curve.
Fall sensors in the bathroom, hall or bedside. The doorbell. Cameras. The radio and the television, and more over time. They pair to anna rather than to the internet, so the home has one hub to install, one thing to update and one thing to trust, instead of five apps and five accounts nobody can keep track of.
No. She speaks to anna, annaOS sends it, and it lands on your WhatsApp like any other message. You reply in the same thread you use for everyone else and anna reads it out to her. Photos work the same way, and a call from your phone lands on anna with one tap.

Privacy & safety

No. anna listens for its name on the device, and responds when it is spoken to or during a scheduled check-in. The model runs in the room, so what is said to anna is handled where it is spoken and never transmitted. Conversations are never recorded. anna keeps short encrypted notes on the device so it can pick up where you left off, and you can ask it to forget them.
No. anna reminds, records whether the reminder was acknowledged, and tells the caregiver if it wasn’t. Confirming a dose stays with the caregiver.
Only the people the care arrangement names. The caregiver or care provider sees routine logs, the medication reminder log and alerts. Family members see a simpler view: how the day went, whether the medication reminders were answered, whether anything needs attention. None of them sees a recording or a transcript, because none is made. What leaves the house is the insight, not the conversation.
That is the standard we build to. The conversation never leaving the home removes most of the risk at the source. The insights that do leave go to the care team, encrypted in transit, held on servers in your own region (the US, the EU or Brazil), and processed in line with GDPR in Europe and LGPD in Brazil. anna acts as a data processor on behalf of the care provider or family, with a data processing agreement in place, and you can request deletion of all personal data at any time.

Cost & getting started

anna is in a free test phase right now, and the final price has not been set. Where the membership page shows a price for your country, it is an estimate with tax included, and the final price is confirmed before anyone is charged. It will be one membership per home.
The free test includes the anna hub, full setup support from the team, all six core jobs (the morning, medication, family, company, the house and noticing) and the caregiver dashboard. No card, no commitment.
Under ten minutes. A caregiver connects the device to the home Wi-Fi and runs a short onboarding session with the older adult. No IT team, no drilling, no lengthy manual. The anna team is on hand if anything is unclear.
Yes. During the free test there is no commitment. Let us know and we will arrange collection of the device. When anna moves to a paid subscription it will be month-to-month with no lock-in.
